In addition to the enormous task of giving collegiate instruction to nearly twenty-thousand students on its Minneapolis, St. During the period of its existence,the University has awarded more than 100,000 degrees to its students who have com-pleted the rigorous training demanded by the complexities of modem society.

How well it has suc-ceeded is indicated by the number of doctors, lawyers, engineers, social workers, journal-ists, dentists, farmers, businessmen, and community and civic leaders in all fields-goodcitizens all-who have gone from its several campuses to participate actively in theupgrading of the welfare of the citizens of our state.
